Today we had one main purpose: Attend the 10:45 am service at Cornerstone Church in Ames.
During our Summer ‘22 Cross Country, we had intended to attend a different church each Sunday, but I failed to ensure we were not traveling on Sundays and thus only attended church once, on Day 29. For West Quest Part Deux, we are researching churches ahead of time and making attendance part of the travel plans.
After careful consideration and watching a service online last Sunday, we decided Cornerstone Church was the one for us. To say we were pleased with the service today would be a huge understatement. It was truly uplifting and a fitting tribute to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We spent the rest of the day doing some looking around Ames and having a late lunch at the local favorite Hickory Park Restaurant Co. — a local favorite that can seat 500 people in booths.
Overall, we had a nice day visiting Ames and taking everything in.
Thank you for following Oliver’s Travels!
Glad to see you are back on the road! I thought the lunch looked delectable! Meat and 3!
