Today would have been my mother’s 95th Birthday had she not passed far too early of cancer back in 2010. I love and miss you Mom!
Before leaving VERITAS Equestrian Center this morning, we paid the horses one final visit. But before I show you those pictures, there were a few from yesterday that I should have included in the previous post.
Back to this morning. Here’s how things looked as I walked the dogs:
We had to meet with Jerry one more time to give him another apple in honor of his service to our nation. This time Frieda got to have the privilege.
With a bit of sadness, we departed the equestrian center shortly after saying goodby to Jerry and the other horses and headed to Ames to attend the 8:45 am service at Cornerstone Church.
Pastor Mark’s sermon Righteous by Faith in Christ was one of the very best sermons either one of us has ever heard and the overall experience of the service was amazing just as it was the last time we were here.
After church, we headed for Washington, Illinois for an overnight at Tres Rojas Winery.
We did a wine tasting upon our arrival, purchased a few bottles to go, and had a nice relaxing dinner in our Ollie before getting a very good night’s sleep. Tomorrow we’re off to Cincinnati for one final night before heading home.
Hi again! I'm catching up on the last week(s) of your travels! and as always enjoying the pictures and write-ups immensely! Wishing you both much continued fun, adventure and peace!
