I slept like a bear last night here at Sleepy Hollow RV Park. It’s a very nice park we would highly recommend.
When we are just spending one night in a particular location, nothing beats a pull through site for convenience. No unhitching and it makes for a quick getaway the next morning. All concrete pads are a bonus as things like dog paws, hoses and chocks stay a lot cleaner.
As we departed Sleepy Hollow, I noticed that our trip so far has been 1,999.9 miles.
Our destination this morning was just down the road — Laurel Mercantile — owned by Ben and Erin Napier who host the show Home Town on HGTV.
We were very impressed that everything sold in the store except a couple of the t-shirts is Made in the USA and when possible, in Mississippi. It was quite a difference from when we visited Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas back in 2016 and found that virtually every item in the vast store was, as you might guess, made in China. Here’s to Ben and Erin for looking out for ‘Merica!
Around noon, we hit the road — destination Arrowhead RV Park in Crane Hill, Alabama.
Another state added to Oliver’s Travels:
Home for the night.
