For the second night, I slept like a bear. I think it’s because of temps that allowed us to crack the windows and enjoy the natural air. There was also very little noise from traffic or other campers. Adding to this joy was awakening to a gorgeous, cool, spring morning.
That is NOT a new satellite dish for our Ollie LOL. The spot we were assigned used to have a full-timer in it and that was their satellite dish. You may be wondering though why you haven’t seen our Starlink dish in use so far this year. Well, they raised the price from $135 to $150 a month and if you activate it, you have to pay for at least one month. Since our trips have been relatively brief so far this year, we are waiting for our longer cross country trips to activate it. Also, we’ve generally been in areas where we can make due with our iPhone hot spots.
This park even features a marina and cafe where we ate breakfast.
Late morning, we were on our way for home!
A funny thing about Interstate 24 is that it very briefly dips into Georgia when traveling through Tennessee. So even though we went from Alabama to Tennessee, we also had to cross into Georgia along the way before entering Tennessee a second and final time.
Shortly after crossing into Tennessee from Alabama, we stopped and had some lunch.
And with that, Tex Trek ‘23 is a wrap. Ten days, 7 states, 2,513.5 miles, and lots of great memories. And Big Red, our 2013 F-150, is still going strong with 166,475.3 miles on the odometer.
Thank you for following Oliver’s Travels!
