Saturday, 2 July 2022 (Happy Birthday to my father who turned 93 today!)
Today marks four full weeks since we started our journey on Sunday, June 5 from our home in Harriman, Tennessee.
Before getting to a summary of today, I want to share what I think is the best photo of our Summer ‘22 Cross Country so far. While most of the photos that appear here are taken by me, my lovely wife Frieda is one heck of a photographer who sometimes forgets to share her photos in time for this daily post. Besides being incredibly artistic, this photo perfectly captures the spirit of this first big trip in our Oliver Legacy Elite II travel trailer. Windows rolled down, music playing and the destination in site, we are living life to its fullest.
Right now we’re in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania so that we can visit with Frieda’s dad who lives nearby in New Oxford. Our daily drive takes us past the Gettysburg Battlefield. Here are a few images I captured on our drive over this morning:
It rained hard off and on in the afternoon so we just hung out at Dad’s apartment and got caught up on some things we all needed to do.
