West Quest Part Deux - Day 3

Back to Day 2

This morning started off with a long walk with Maddie and Skipper and nothing makes Maddie happier than grass! Since she’s been a puppy, we’ve called her “grassy girl” because she can never resist rolling in it.

We’re obviously in tornado country, and the dogs were curious about the campground tornado shelter…

During the day, we did some exploring in Ames but for whatever reason, I didn’t take any particularly meaningful pictures. Sometimes your humble writer forgets he has a blog to do! Doh!

Back at the campsite later in the evening, we enjoyed sitting outside in some relatively cool temps with a nice breeze blowing.

This is the first campground we’ve stayed at that also features a grill and ice cream shop. So of course, we had to check it out.
