Hey Frieda and Scott! RV question. When you head into town, do you leave your dogs in the RV? Does the A/C run just like at home. I know you're hooked up at the parks...just curious. Glad to see y'all living the dream and am enjoying the posts. :)
Hi Bobbi! Great question. We purchased the solar and lithium battery option on our Oliver. It includes a 3,000 watt DC to AC inverter that is capable of powering the AC. We separately bought a sensor that texts us if the cabin temp and/or humidity exceeds set limits. We can run the AC about 3-4 hours on batteries if also in strong sunlight. So it’s perfect for stopping at a rest area to have lunch, going to a restaurant and leaving dogs in AC comfort, etc. With RV park shore power we can leave them longer - typically 6-7 hours. Should shore power go out for some reason like a storm, batteries would kick in for 3-4 hours. It’s truly a Godsend. We did it just today. The key is the solar, lithium batteries and inverter combination. Does that help?
Love these journals so much, Scott! The Crazy Horse monument is amazing, and given our imperfect National history, very much an important balance. Will you do Custer’s Last Stand? Also a very heart opening place.
Both are on our bucket List. Haven’t checked in in over a week, but love stopping in when I can. 😃

Yep! Thanks for the info!
Recommend the Mammoth Site, Hot Springs, South Dakota - may be too late!
