Our sweet Maddie set the tone for the day — enjoy the sun and just hang out.
The men and the ladies split up today with Mark and I focused on cleaning our RV holding tanks and the ladies on some social time and laundry over at Deb’s mothers house in nearby Davenport.
I forgot, of course, to get a photo of the first-ever holding tank cleaning of my own Oliver Legacy Elite II travel trailer. Doh! I can say, however, that just because I’m a Kleen Tank dealer and I professionally clean RV holding tanks now, I’m not immune to stinky, yucky tanks. Frieda was right… they needed cleaning!
After cleaning Ollie, Mark and I cleaned his trailer, which also turned out to benefit greatly. Meanwhile, back at the ranch…
(Quick note: Some content I’m restricting to paid subscribers and to family and friends Frieda and/or I know personally. If you are in the latter category but are seeing the paywall immediately below, then I forgot to set you to ‘paid.’ Simply send me an email to oliverstravels@substack.com and I’ll change your setting. All others please consider subscribing knowing that I appreciate you!)
After the tank cleanings, Mark and I enjoyed some quiet time in the shade before having hamburgers for lunch.
Below, please imagine there is a picture of Frieda, Deb and Deb’s mom Dorothy as they enjoyed their day together.

In the evening, Frieda, Mark and Deb went to an evening concert downtown while I chilled out and worked on trip planning. I was having one of those nights where I was just wiped out and didn’t need any more time outside in the heat.
Regarding trip planning, remember when I mentioned a plan never survives first contact with reality? Well, everything has changed again and instead of heading in a counter-clockwise direction, we’re heading southwest now in a clockwise direction. It’s going to be exciting so stay tuned!
