Today was a busy work day here at the Iowa Good Sam Rally in Amana.
I started off the day doing a brief seminar on Kleen Tank for about 8-10 of the rally participants followed by an invitation to watch me do an actual job on a Winnebago owned by one of the work campers here in the park. Two of the gentlemen took me up on the offer, and they ended up watching me do the entire job that took two hours!
Fortunately, this led to one of them hiring me do do his rig tomorrow.
Shortly after lunch, I did another job for one of my seminar attendees and again, they were set up to watch the festivities! When asked why, they said this was much better than going to play cards. Who though watching black and gray holding tank cleaning could be so much fun!?
This second job was especially challenging as the owner’s black tank was in much worse shape than either of us guessed. Lots of heavy pancake-like buildup in the bottom that took a long time to clear. Needless to say, he was very satisfied with the Kleen Tank service I performed and invited me to a rally he’s in charge of next year.
During the day, Maddie and Skipper did what dogs to best:
In the evening, the Iowa Good Sam Club had their official opening event. It was nice to have the parading of the Colors, the National Anthem sung, and just a lot of all-around terrific patriotism by some terrific folks. It was a privilege to be here.
Finally, we wrapped the evening up under our awning enjoying some fellowship with two of our rally friends. I also took this picture of Frieda which she said I could definitely NOT post here. I’m not a very good listener…
Thanks for following our adventures. See you tomorrow!
Frieda doesn't take a bad photo so I wouldn't listen either! ;)
