Before I get to a summary of the day, a huge thank you to the hundreds of folks who have recently subscribed. I’m humbled and honored. That said, a brief summary of the purpose of Oliver’s Travels can be found on the About page here.
Effective today I’m switching to a paid subscriber model for full access to the more personal travel log portion of the content. Friends and family need only to shoot me a note at oliverstravels@substack.com if you need complimentary paid access. Others are more than welcome to become true paid subscribers if you truly are here for the personal travel log experience.
Oliver features, tips and tricks will remain free as we want to encourage others to consider this wonderful trailer like we did.
This morning’s priority was to have breakfast with our new friend and fellow Navy veteran Aron Jemison, the talent behind YouTube channel 3TAILSRV.
A mutual friend put me in touch with Aron and as fate would have it, Aron and I have amazing Navy-related experiences in common including both being stationed in Oak Harbor, Washington together back in the ‘80s and ‘90s and both serving in the EA-6B Prowler community. You just can’t make this stuff up!
Anyhow, Aron is going to put a YouTube video together featuring the benefits of our Kleen Tank RV holding tank cleaning business.
After breakfast, I got to work cleaning a very nice 2020 Newmar Mountain Aire while Aron filmed.
And in another ‘you can’t make this up’ moment, the owner of the Mountain Aire was a Navy doctor and his son was an EA-6B Electronic Countermeasures Officer just as I was! GO NAVY!
While I was doing the morning cleaning of the Mountain Aire, Frieda was getting things set up for our booth at the Good Sam rally that kicks off in earnest tomorrow.
Not much else to report today as it was a busy preparation day for tomorrow. So for now, this is the end…
…of our Ollie and of this post. See you tomorrow!
