On Tuesday 21 March, Frieda, Maddie, Skipper and I will head to San Antonio to visit with Navy friends we’ve had since 1995 when I was the Public Affairs Officer for USS Independence (CV-62) in Yokosuka, Japan. The route will look something like this:
The route above will allow us to fill in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas to Oliver’s Travels map which currently looks like this:
Then in late May, we will begin West Quest 2023 as described here.
On a completely unrelated note, our son Bill is a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps and currently attending the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. A very talented, and we think handsome guy, he’s also trying to build his YouTube channel called RandoFix. His most recent video called Making the worlds most insane KidZone bumper car is really good and it features his kids (our grandchildren). If you have a few minutes, I think you will enjoy the video and he will appreciate your subscriptions, likes, and views as he builds his channel. Thank you!
We would love to visit anytime you are close to Dallas (McKinney). We are happy to drive to where you are stopping.
