Today was our last full day in Sioux Falls. It was great to have had an entire week here just as we did in Kellogg, Iowa the week before. Neither one of us had ever spent any significant time in either state and it was wonderful to get a true taste of the midwest.
Just as we experienced in Iowa, here in South Dakota we met so many amazing people. We put ourselves out there and engaged with folks, and we were richly rewarded in return, especially with fellow Christians the Lord put in our life. I think He might have even laughed a bit as he set up a final encounter last evening.
On our way home from dinner, we stopped at a grocery store to get a few things for the next few days. As we left the store, we hear “Hi Frieda and Scott!” It was Amanda, who we had met on Wednesday night at church along with husband Sam and their two beautiful children. What are the odds that we choose a church to attend on a Wednesday evening, meet a family after the service, and then one of them is coming in the door as we are leaving, in a city of over 200 thousand people. It simply cannot be random.
That’s it from Sioux Falls. Tomorrow we head west to The Badlands.
Great experiences. Good things happen to good people.
