Greetings Oliver’s Travels fans!
Scott, Frieda, Maddie, and Skipper are back on the road headed for Fredericksburg, Texas. I may have said San Antonio in an earlier post but I’m not from Texas and they looked close enough to me. What’s 70 miles among friends?!
As we prepared for this 10-day trip over the last couple of days, Mother Nature decided to throw us one of those late winter blasts that put temps in the teens. After enjoying what seemed like an early Spring for the last couple of weeks, the last few days reminded us that it was still winter until 4-something this afternoon. Bottom line: not fun to prep for the trip. As we set out this morning, it was around 18 degrees F. Note frost on windshield and Ollie tucked up close to the garage to minimize frozen flesh as we loaded her up. It was a gorgeous morning, however.
For the obligatory selfie, we chose wisely to do it inside the warmed up truck.
As mentioned in other posts, a favorite part of RVing is being able to stop just about anywhere and pseudo-camp while you do what you need to do — in this case run to the Crossville Starbucks across the road to get coffee!
While our destination today was Jackson, we had a customer to serve in Trenton doing our Kleen Tank gig.
I’m proud of the fact that Frieda is now on board with the business and volunteers to drive AND to help kleen poo, but Skipper is another story. All he does is sleep on the job!
Around 3:30 we arrived in Trenton to help a new friend with his clogged poo situation. Now, do you think we remembered to get a picture of us helping him on his gorgeous lot where he and his wife are going to build his dream house? Of course not! But we did help him with his sticky situation.
The job took about two hours and 30 minutes later we were parked at Blessed Bounty Orchard in Jackson, Tennessee where we met a new friend, Corey Berard. He and his wife Gloria have a third-generation orchard and host RVers through Harvest Hosts.
Tomorrow we’re off to another Harvest Host location in De Kalb, Texas.
Love all the photos! My brother is a plumber, and LOVES what he does! Makes it easy as it is his company too, so I get that. 😁 Happy Travels!!
