After a long day of driving yesterday, we slept in a bit this morning and did not depart Danville until around 11 am.
We found Lazy Day Campground to be quite lovely — perhaps the best of all the RV parks we visited on this trip and would highly recommended it to anyone passing through this part of Missouri. I took these pictures while walking the dogs this morning:
And with the almost-every-time “and we’re off” photo, we were on our way.
Our drive today took us through Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and then finally back to our home state of Tennessee.
We arrived at Clarksville RV Park about 6 pm CDT and were pleased that the site was perfectly level. We did not unhitch as this is just a quick night’s stay before making our way home tomorrow.
As we relaxed enjoying an adult beverage, this rig arrived. I guess for some folks, even a ginormous Class A diesel pusher isn’t enough! I think it’s a Forest River Work and Play that most folks would have as their ONLY RV…
I thought this was interesting too… The folks with this Sprinter 5th wheel jacked their rig completely off the ground. I didn’t think you were supposed to do that.
We got Starlink for RVs about a weeks before this journey and I can’t say enough good things about it. At some point, I’m going to do a post all about it. Here’s our trusy friend that Elon Musk calls Dishy McFlatface:
And here are the many faces of Frieda when she’s tired and I’m still taking pictures…
And a couple of pictures of Ollie.
Tomorrow is a short three hour trip home to Harriman, Tennessee with the plan being to get there in the early afternoon. Tomorrow’s post will be the last one for the Summer ‘22 Cross Country series until we resume our trip west in a few weeks.
Until tomorrow…
