So far on this trip, the weather has been all clear skies but with temps a bit higher than normal for this time of year. The fact there has been no rain is good because we’ve spent quite a bit of time outside including for all of our hotel meals.
Before today’s prayer and staff meeting, we enjoyed an espresso with Pauline, his wife Violeta, and Joe Bubar.
Once again, Pastor Tim Bubar gave the message as Altin Kurraj provided translation into Albanian.
On this fourth and final full day, we delayed going to the beach until after lunch so that the groups could work on skit preparation for tonight’s performances.
Here’s Frieda doing what she does best:
After lunch, it was time to head to the beach.
Throughout our time in Albania, animals on the road was a common sight:
Frieda preparing for beach games:
After several hours of fun in the sun, it was time to head back to the hotel for dinner and skits.
More animals on the road:
The first skit:
Followed by a musical interlude:
The second skit with Pastor Tim Bubar in a wig and playing a rabbit:
I didn’t get pics of the third skit nor the fourth one where Frieda and I were participants, but trust me when I say everyone enjoyed the performances.
When we adjourned, practically everyone hung around and started dancing:
Truly, I don’t think any of us wanted this wonderful church retreat to end.
Tomorrow, we say farewell to our guests from Kosovo and our core team heads north to the Albanian Alps.
So great to see all of your pictures and hear the details of your mission trip! It looks like it has been fantastic!
